Event Recap: Colon Cancer Awareness Health Fair
We are proud to join our partner hospital, Community Medical Center, in the fight against colon cancer. In recognition of Colon Cancer Awareness Month in March, our team attended the 10th Annual Colorectal Cancer Awareness Fair on March 11, held in the outpatient lobby of the hospital.
Topics addressed at the event included prevention strategies and risk factors associated with colorectal cancer. Dr. Rajesh Iyer, New Jersey CyberKnife radiation oncologist and chairman of CMC’s radiation oncology department, answered questions from attendees about the use of CyberKnife and radiation therapy in the fight against cancer.
According to the American Cancer Society, more than 4,280 New Jersey residents will be diagnosed with colon cancer this year. Learn more on their website.
